Operating a pool means you will need a
variety of above ground pool supplies. Let's look at some of
the common needs:
The most important piece of equipment is the
pool pump. Keeping the pump running smoothly is the foundation
for a clean pool with good water quality. Pump parts can be
found online and locally at your local pool supply store or
hardware store.
Most likely, if your pump is malfunctioning
it is more practical to get the pump parts locally.

Cover. A cover to keep debris out, to keep heat
in over night, to cover your pool for the winter, and to
prevent evaporation in dry climates. Pool covers are also for
keeping anyone to accidentally falling into the pool.
Safety
Fence. Those with children will want to
purchase a safety fence around their swimming pool. (Along with
teaching the children to swim at a very early age.) In Florida
the leading cause of death for children is drowning. Most often
the drowning occured in the back yard pool. Do not let that
happen to you!

Cleaners. Most cleaners are automatic
working off the plumbing or circulation of your pool,
automatically sweeping the entire pool, removing all dirt and
debris. An absolute must.

Slide. A slide can make for a
lot of fun in the sun! The slide should not be taller than what
can safely be dove from without hitting the bottom of the pool.

makes for a beautiful back yard. The lights can either be built
into the pool, or the floating kind of lights which will give

need to test the pH of the water to keep it within the posted
guidelines.
Timer. A timer for your pump
will save you quite a bit on your utility bill. Ask local pool
maintenance companies what you can get away with for your
particular climate as far as turning the pump off for periods
of time during the day.
